One of our great traditions is confirmation for students 6th grade and older. Confirmation marks a time of great spiritual growth and a coming of age where students are asked to claim their faith as their own, professing their faith in Jesus Christ as they become members of the church.

Confirmation teaches the fundamentals of Christianity, what it looks like to be a member of the church and what it means to be a Methodist. Confirmation also helps to strengthen the spiritual role of the parent(s) by partnering with families as they walk through this spiritual journey together.

Confirmation sessions begin Feb. 22 and run through March 29. Each of the five weekly sessions is taught on Sunday and Wednesday so families can pick which day works best for them each week. Sessions are taught by our pastors and include times for confirmands and their parent (or other family member) mentor to discuss the lesson, as well as time in facilitated small groups to ask and answer questions. There is a mandatory retreat, April 1-2, at Camp Rockfish in Fayetteville where the remainder of the sessions will be taught and make-up sessions are offered.

Registration for confirmation is open online.
