Dear Fellow Disciples,
I wonder if in 1870 the early pioneers who started a Methodist Preaching work in Apex—even before the official birth of the town—ever imagined a ministry for Christ composed of more than 3,000 people with three distinct faith communities, missions all over the country and world, hundreds of children and youth, and dozens of bible, prayer, spiritual formation, congregational care, recovery, support, fellowship and ministry groups.
God has clearly imagined such because he has called us to "make disciples of all nations," "to reach out to the least, last and lost," and "to grow into the FULL stature of Christ." Here at Apex UMC we are committed to the vision God has for us. We are dedicated to stepping out and forward in faith to accomplish our charge: "inviting and equipping all to follow Jesus in transforming the world."
In the inspiration and power of the Holy Spirit, we are imagining the possibilities of what God can accomplish with and through us as we act in generosity to underwrite the annual Mission and Ministry budget of our Family of Faith Communities. We are imagining the possibilities of what God can accomplish with a new worship location, discipleship rooms for all ages—especially for children and youth—gathering and fellowship areas, and spaces for worship arts and music. The possibilities are amazing! We imagine people being reached for Christ, the young and old equipped in knowledge and discipleship, and all of us growing stronger in the worship and praise of God. We are imagining places where the Body of Christ can be united and strengthened. This is the vision of God for Apex UMC.
I believe this is the present and future to which Christ is calling us at Apex United Methodist Church—rooted in the sacrifices and efforts of the past. I believe God will provide all the resources needed to accomplish his vision and purpose. I invite you to look through this website. I hope you will attend an informational session. Most of all, I I hope you will enter in to a season of prayer, seeking God's guidance for how he wants you to participate in this Imagine the Possibilities venture. It will take us all responding with faith and sacrifice.
Thank you for believing. Thank you for serving. Thank you for praying. Thank you for giving. Thank you for … imagining the possibilities!
In His Service,
Powell Osteen Lead Pastor
