Apex UMC and Fiesta Cristiana, along with a dozen other churches, have partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County to build a house in Apex this winter at 1516 Boxwood Lane in the Knollwood neighborhood. For those with weekday availability, there are plenty of opportunities to serve every week from Jan. 18 through March on Thursdays and Fridays. As a church, we have committed to fielding a group of volunteers on two specific days: Saturday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, March 10. In addition, Apex UMC is responsible for providing the lunch for all volunteers on the site on March 10.

Construction volunteers are asked to sign up directly with Habitat-Wake.

There is a special opportunity to participate in the kick-off of the project with a Wall Raising Ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11:30 at the build site. There is work at the site that day, too. Please sign up online.
