Welcome to the summer semester! Most groups take a break during the summer, but this directory contains many opportunities for you to connect with others and help you become more like Christ.

If you are interested in missions, many of our local, national, and international trips are taking place during the summer semester. There are various support groups in the Congregational Care Neighborhood. If you want to connect with a group with similar interests such as sports and bike riding, participate in a study of the Christian faith, or to deepen your walk with Christ, visit the Discipleship Neighborhood. There are opportunities for every member of the family in our Family Ministries and Worship Arts neighborhoods.

Be sure to visit the new Outreach Ministries Neighborhood, featuring opportunities with Acts UMC and our new Community and Latino Ministries.

If you are passionate about starting a new ministry group, please contact us. We can connect you with the appropriate leader to help you get started. We will also have a new ministry community leader orientation on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. for new groups starting in the Fall.

If you are uncertain about your God-given gifts and purpose, we will have an Unwrap Your Spiritual Gifts emphasis in May and June. Join us for three sessions on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. The sessions begin on May 29.

The summer semester will last from May 19 – Sept. 12. Should you love the group you’re involved with, most will continue next semester. Many other groups will begin new sessions in the fall. You can join a group by contacting the ministry community leader or registering online at apexumc.org. All groups are open to new people—they eagerly await your arrival. We urge you to invite your friends, and look forward to journeying with you!
