Apex HS Food Pantry

Did you know that we are in our second year of partnership with Apex High School to provide food for students and their families who are food insecure? By donating nonperishable food items each week, we can insure that these families have enough food to get through the weekends and school holidays. What a blessing it is to be part of such an amazing ministry to families in our community!

Last year we collected enough food that the school was able to provide an actual pantry style set-up where students could come to “shop” for their families. This year, there are already at least six students taking home food each week and there are more students who will be identified in the coming month. The shelves of the pantry are getting bare, so let’s help fill them up and keep families fed.

Suggested items are peanut butter, individual mac and cheese and soups, cereals, granola bars, canned tuna and chicken, pasta, and fruit cups.

Please, grab an extra nonperishable item or two the next time you are at the store and bring them Sunday morning or evening, or drop them by the staff house!
